This past Saturday, W3EAX was fortunate to have a spot on McKeldin Mall for Maryland Day 2023. We setup a Satellite antenna hooked up to an SDR and a small 2 meter ICOM radio for people to try out our repeater. During the day, we had another club member listening to the repeater and responding to visitors which made for a great experience for everyone. We also chatted about how to get into the hobby and our club’s history for those who were interested.
We had a great time and definitely increased campus and community visibility of our club. We’re hoping this is just the start of more public appearances by W3EAX.
